The Lakes Brew Festival 2008

Set for Saturday September 27, 2008 in Casco, Maine, this event located on the beach at Point Sebago Resort
has become a “must attend” event for the serious brew fan. The 2008 edition will be the fifth Lakes Brew Festival and
organizers (The Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce) expect it to be the best yet. There currently are
20 brews signed up for the event, many more than we usually claim in June; and our plan is to pass last years 24
brewers by striving to bring you 30 brewers in 2008. The Lakes Brew Festival is known for it’s safety first approach
to hosting this event, for the beauty of the beach we locate on and for the variety of activities you can take part in
while joining us. We again will have 3 bands including The Disclaimers; Blue Steel Express and The Blue Willow Band.
They will be joined by MC Mr. Tux and The Point Sebago Players who will help to fill in during band changes.

The Lakes Brew Fest could be called the food fest as we bring you the best food of the Lakes Region, Maine including
returning vendors:
A Fine Kettle of Fish Catering; Bray’s Brew Pub; Bridgton Lion's Club; Mac's Kettle Corn;
Webbs Mills Variety; Barney's Seafood Market and The Black Horse Tavern. At this writing we also expect to add in
2008 new vendors such as
The Freedom Cafe and Call me Ishmael  A Catering Company. Each of these vendors stands
out in their work we think you will be pleased with their offerings. You can go to our event website to learn more about
them at www.lakesbrewfest.com  When attending the Lakes Brew Fest you will again get your souvenir glass
sponsored by 207Realty.com and tickets to sample the best brew in Maine and also from away.
Brookfield Mortgage Company is sponsoring the original Brew Tent for the third time and we appreciate their
continued support! Summit Spring Water  will again be refreshing you throughout the day. Like past Lakes Brew Fests,
there will be all types of interesting vendors available to show their wares during the event, past vendors had soda,
massages and sausage samples. What surprises will be at the Lakes Brew Fest in 2008?

Changes in 2008 are mainly generated by feedback we got from the Lakes Brew Fest participants. We are adding more
food vendors, seeking to grow our list of brewers; adding parking and we are (one more time) adding tickets to our
event. Last year’s event sold out at a bit over 2,000 attendees. We have decided (The Lakes Brew Fest Committee) to
grow one more time, to 3,000 attendance and then hold there. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable day for all
involved. Assuming 2008 is as good as we expect, we will limit the (near) future Lakes Brew Fest to 3,000 tickets.
Having said that, tickets are NOW on sale at:

The Greater Bridgton Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, Bridgton, Maine-207-647-3472 (Master Card and Visa
accepted-all phone orders please use this phone number!); at Brays Brew Pub and Restaurant, Naples, Maine and at
all three Sebago Brewing Company Restaurant-Brew Pubs. Currently, about 1,100 of the 3,000 tickets are gone so don’t
get closed out. Tickets are $15.00 until July 31; $20 after to the day of the event and $25 at the event. Buying them now
helps you and it helps us to plan. Questions on this great brew fest? 207-647-3472. The Lakes Brew Fest is also adding
a second Brew Tent. We are seeking a sponsor for this tent which would showcase your business to up to 3,000
visitors as well as the almost 100 volunteers on hand. We hope to see many of you at the Lakes Brew Fest on Saturday
September 27, 2008 in Casco, Maine at Point Sebago Resort. Check out Point Sebago’s overnight packages and for
other accommodations and area information go to the Chamber website at www.mainelakeschamber.com
